About Us

Craftzola — Hands of Heritage

Somewhere between the mountains, the silence and the simplicity of life, we rediscovered the beauty of being human.

Our story began in 2023, when myself Dr. Neetu Modgil, my husband and our daughter moved from the bustle of city life to the quiet mountains of Himachal Pradesh. One of us, a surgeon, and the other, a technology professional, we had spent years in worlds defined by precision, innovation, deadlines and the constant pace of modern life.

We thought we were simply changing our place of living. Little did we know that we were about to discover an entirely different way of looking at life.

Himachal taught us the beauty of slowing down. The mornings felt calmer, the connection with nature grew deeper, and life gradually became less about having more and more about appreciating what already existed. We found ourselves drawn towards things that were natural, simple, handmade and deeply rooted in tradition.

In a world increasingly shaped by technology, automation and artificial intelligence, we began to appreciate something timeless — the beauty of the human hand.

The hands that weave a piece of fabric, carve a wooden figurine, print a pattern onto cloth, shape a piece of jewellery or preserve a craft passed down through generations. Behind every handmade creation lies something that machines cannot replicate — an individual's imagination, patience, experience, emotion and soul.

And that is where CraftZola was born.

More Than Products. A Living Heritage.

India is home to an extraordinary wealth of art, craft and craftsmanship. Across its villages, towns and artisan clusters, countless skilled hands continue to preserve traditions that have travelled through generations.

From the intricate block prints of Rajasthan and the timeless Ajrakh of Kutch to the artistic Kalamkari of Andhra Pradesh, the handlooms of different regions and the beautiful traditions of woodcraft, embroidery and weaving — every craft carries the identity of its land and the stories of its people.

Yet, many of these beautiful creations remain waiting to be discovered by the world.

At CraftZola, we bring together these diverse artistic traditions on one platform. We travel across India's craft regions, connect with artisans, discover their work and curate creations that reflect the richness, diversity and soul of our country.

We believe that a handmade product is never just an object. It is a piece of someone's imagination, a reflection of their culture, a continuation of their heritage and, often, a lifetime of learning.

Celebrating the Hands Behind the Craft

We want to bring the artisan closer to the person who appreciates their work.

We want every creation to have a story, every craft to find its audience and every artisan's contribution to receive the recognition it deserves.

Our endeavour is to celebrate authenticity, encourage traditional craftsmanship and make India's artistic heritage a meaningful part of contemporary living.

We are not trying to take you back in time. We are trying to bring the best of our traditions into the way we live today.

Because we believe that handmade is not old-fashioned. It is timeless.

And in a world that is moving faster every day, perhaps the most meaningful luxury is owning something that has been made slowly, thoughtfully and by hand.

Our Belief

CraftZola is our little effort to reconnect people with the beauty of Indian craftsmanship — to preserve what is precious, celebrate what is ours and give traditional artistry the place it deserves in the modern world.

We invite you to discover the stories, celebrate the artisans and bring home a little piece of India's heritage.

Let's celebrate being Indian. Let's celebrate handmade. Let's celebrate the hands of heritage.
